Adventures in Camping

We went camping this last weekend and it was mostly fun.  If you've ever camped with a one year old and a three year old, you will understand the "mostly."  We'll do bigger trips as Carter and Noah get older, but, for now, one night at a close campground is quite enough fun for us.

"You're right, pine cones do taste better fresh."

"This camp chair is just the right size for kicking back."

"We are mesmerized."

"It's sure fun getting dirty!"

"Mom, look what I found!  Will you make them!"

First day of preschool!

Today was Carter's first day of preschool!  He was a little hesitant at first, but once they got in line like a "choo choo train" to go into the classroom, he was ready to go :)  He had a good first day of preschool and it must have been a busy day, because he took a good two hour nap today!  Noah did, too :)  When I asked what his favorite part of the morning was, he said "snack" :)
Here are a few pictures from the past few days.

Carter ready for his first morning of preschool.  All decked out with his monkey backpack and new dinosaur water bottle!

Buddies on a hike on Saturday.

A trip to the beach on Sunday.

Fun times in the sand.

Noah thinks he's ready for "school" too :)

A Short Hike

We went for a short hike today up at the Mt. Rose Meadows.  Well, it was short for Alicia and me.  For Carter, it was a long 2.3 miles.  Noah was not sure why Carter was fussing.  Noah thought the hike was easy.

"Now, Noah, let me tell you how this game is played..."

A fun book with Mom.

"If it looks like a duck..."

"This hiking stuff is easy... I don't know what you're complaining about down there."
