Practicing Being Older

"I haven't said anything I wish to take back yet, but I'll stick my foot in my mouth anyway."

I'm Off!

In my unbiased opinion :-) there are a lot of cute pictures today (and everyday). I just chose one for the blog, so don't forget to follow the Picasa link to view the rest.

Carter Will Miss Gramma Leah

Carter's Gramma Leah left for home today after a long weekend here in Reno. He had lots of fun with her while she was here.

"Are you impressed with my sitting skills?"

O.k., she actually got here Thursday night. I have just been negligent about blogging the last couple of days.

Off to "School"

Of note for today: Carter cut his first tooth. You can't see anything yet, but you can definitely feel the top of it. We knew it was coming as he has been chewing on stuff like crazy for the last few weeks (even more so than normal).

Oh, No! Let Us Out!

We took Carter's cousins, Remi and Mikey, to the Children's museum in Carson City today. We're pretty sure they had a lot of fun. The St. Mary's Hospital body children's exhibit was there today. Remi showed quite the aptitude for putting the plastic organs back into the plastic body. Future surgeon? Mikey was more into talking about amphibians and the changes they go through. I guess that would make him a future biologist. Carter? He slobbered a lot. I'm not sure you can read anything into that (water engineer??? :-) ). All in all, it was a fun day.

Carter's First Easter

We celebrated it at Great Gramma's house. It was quite the crowd, too: one great gramma, one aunt (Katie), three great aunts (Mary, Jen, and Dyan), two great uncles (Bill and Jim), two cousins (Remi and Mikey), three cousins once removed (Jared, Chris, and Jacob), and two second cousins (Liam and Bryce) (all relations listed as to Carter). It was also the first family event attended by Bryce (he's about 10 days old)!

"Please direct me to the motorway as I would like to take my Great Gramama motoring in my newly restored convertible."

"Mmmm, I like apple slices."
