Mom and Dad Took Me Out to Dinner with Them!

Just Red Robin -- a very kid friendly place where if your kid is making noise no one will even notice with all the other kids making noise. Actually, Carter was very good. He even sat in a high chair and got to eat with us (just Gerber Puffs). We might be bold and try something like Chili's next (actual fine dining will have to wait a while).

Carter's First Parade

We went up to Virginia City today for the Memorial Day Parade. Carter seemed very interested, and we think he enjoyed it. Don't forget to check Picasa for all the pictures we took today and the last few days (when I was negligent about updating the blog).

Yes it is the end of May, and, yes, Carter Still Needs a Warm hat

It is supposed to, finally, warm up this weekend, though.

Carter & Friends (part III)

We all went over to Carter's friend Jonah's house for the third installment of the baby class reunion. As you can see from the posted pictures and video (as well as the pictures posted on Picasa), everyone had a blast. Also, for the third consecutive time that these three have gotten together, it snowed again. Parts I and II can be found in the blog at December 16, 2009, "A Baby Reunion" and February 20, 2010, "First Food and Friends."

They're cute, and I'm pretty sure they know it.

We (Mom, Carter, and Dad) have had a busy few days since I last updated the blog. Carter has a new cousin (via Aunt Katie): named Nigel DeAndre, born May 12, and weighing in at 8 lbs, 12 oz. We went out to Omaha for (Carter's) Aunt Marnie's graduation from Creighton. It was a fun, very quick trip. Carter also got his first ear infection. He should be better within a few days. Anyway, here are some new pictures:

Give Carter a spoon (or anything else for that matter) and it goes straight to his mouth. Try to put that same spoon in his mouth with anything other than sweet potatoes, apple sauce, or squash and the mouth is firmly clamped shut. This probably means he's a typical baby.
