Second day of "solid" food. Maybe Carter swallowed some.

First Food and Friends

Carter had a big day today. He received his first "solid" food. I'm not sure that you can really call it solid, though. It was just some watery rice cereal. He seemed interested in it but was lacking in the mechanics for getting it down his throat as opposed to down his chin. Carter also had his birthing class friends Jonah and Brooklyn over for a fun filled afternoon. All three of them were actually awake this time (to see the last time they met, look at the December 16, 2009, blog ("A Baby Reunion!").

A Hike Today!

We took Carter on a hike today. It was a very short hike (barely over a mile) because there was still a fair amount of snow on the trail and, where there wasn't snow, there was mud. Don't forget to check Picasa: we took a lot more pictures today that our daily quota of five.

Gramma Leah and Grampa Jim are here! Unfortunately, as Carter's Aunt Marnie has reminded me, the rest of you are not. As such, I need to be better about maintaining the blog for all of you who are not here and need your daily Carter fix.
